Welcome to ThereWhen

We started ThereWhen for a simple reason: too many families are stretched thin trying to be everywhere at once. A parent lives independently and wants to keep it that way, but the small things — a ride to an appointment, help with the mail, a friendly check-in — add up. And the distance, whether it's across town or across the country, makes it hard to know how things really are.
ThereWhen exists to close that gap. We bring regular, non-medical visits from a consistent companion, and we keep families informed every step of the way.
What a visit looks like
Every visit is built around the person, not a checklist. One week it might be groceries and a walk around the block. The next, it's sorting the mail and setting up a new phone. What stays the same is the companion — a familiar face who knows the routine and notices when something's off.
She looks forward to her visits every week. And I look forward to the update after.
That update matters as much as the visit itself. After every visit, families get a clear summary of how things went, so you're never left wondering.
What we're not
We want to be clear about our boundaries, because trust depends on it:
- We are not home healthcare or skilled nursing.
- We don't provide medication administration, bathing, or personal hygiene assistance.
- We don't offer emergency response or around-the-clock supervision.
What we do offer is companionship, practical everyday support, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing someone dependable is there.
What's ahead
This is the first of many articles we'll share here — on aging well, on caregiving from a distance, and on the everyday questions families wrestle with. We're glad you're here.
If you're wondering whether ThereWhen is right for your family, we'd love to talk.
